Dušan Vlahović (Serbian Cyrillic: Душан Влаховић; born 28 January 2000) is a Serbian professional football player. He plays as a striker for the Italian club Juventus and for the Serbia national team.
Vlahović started his career in the youth system of Partizan in Serbia. He made his first-team debut in 2016. With Partizan, he won a league title and two national cups. In 2018, he moved to the Italian club Fiorentina. He scored 21 goals in the 2020–21 Serie A season and was named the Serie A Best Young Player.
Because he was scoring so many goals, Juventus, a big Italian club, signed him in January 2022. The transfer cost about €70 million. Vlahović also played for Serbia's youth teams before joining the senior national team in 2020.

Club Career
Early Days in Football
Dušan Vlahović was born in Belgrade, Serbia. He started playing football at a young age. He often played against older kids, which helped him improve. He joined the youth team of OFK Beograd for a short time. He also played one game for Red Star Belgrade.
Playing for Partizan
In 2014, Vlahović joined Partizan, a rival club. He signed his first professional contract with Partizan in 2015 when he was just 15 years old. In early 2016, he joined the main team. He was given the number 9 jersey. On 21 February, he played his first game in the Serbian SuperLiga. He became the youngest player ever to debut for Partizan.
On 2 April, Vlahović scored his first goal for Partizan. This made him the youngest goal-scorer in the club's history. He also scored in a cup semi-final match. Many big European teams, like Arsenal and Juventus, wanted to sign him. But Partizan did not accept their offers. Vlahović helped Partizan win the 2015–16 Serbian Cup by scoring a goal in the final.
He made his European debut for Partizan on 21 July 2016. This was in a UEFA Europa League qualifying match.
Time at Fiorentina
Starting Out and Growing (2019–2021)
In June 2017, Vlahović agreed to join Fiorentina in Italy. This move became official on his 18th birthday, 28 January 2018. He officially joined Fiorentina on 22 February 2018 and chose the number 18 jersey. He could not play until 1 July 2018 due to rules.
Vlahović played his first senior game for Fiorentina on 25 September 2018. This was in a Serie A match against Inter Milan. He was the first player born in the 2000s to play for the club. He played 10 games in the 2018–19 season. During this time, he also helped Fiorentina's youth team win the Coppa Italia Primavera. He scored two goals in the first final game and a penalty in the second.
In the next season, Vlahović became a regular player for the first team. On 18 August 2019, he scored his first two goals for Fiorentina. This was in a cup game against Monza. His first league goals came on 10 November, when he scored two goals against Cagliari. He finished the season with eight goals in 34 games.
Becoming a Star (2020–2022)
In the 2020–21 season, Vlahović started more games. On 22 December 2020, he scored a goal in Fiorentina's 3–0 win against Juventus. This was a big win, as it was Fiorentina's first victory at Juventus' home in 12 years. On 13 March 2021, Vlahović scored his first hat-trick (three goals in one game). This was in a 4–1 win against Benevento. He ended the season with 21 goals and was named the Serie A Best Young Player.
Vlahović started the 2021–22 season by scoring two goals in a cup game. On 31 October 2021, he scored another hat-trick against Spezia. By 19 December 2021, Vlahović had scored 33 league goals in the calendar year. Only Cristiano Ronaldo had done this since 1951. He was also one of only two players born after 2000, along with Erling Haaland, to score at least 40 goals in Europe's top leagues.
Joining Juventus
On 28 January 2022, his 22nd birthday, Vlahović signed with Juventus. The contract was for four and a half years. The transfer cost €70 million, plus €10 million in bonuses. This made him the most expensive player bought in the Serie A winter transfer window. He chose to wear the number 7 jersey, which Cristiano Ronaldo had worn before.
He played his first game for Juventus on 6 February. He scored the first goal in a 2–0 win against Hellas Verona. On 22 February, Vlahović played his first UEFA Champions League game. He scored after only 33 seconds, making him the fastest debut goal-scorer in the Champions League. He was also the second-youngest Juventus player to score in the competition. Four days later, he scored two goals for Juventus in a 3–2 win against Empoli.
On 16 April, Vlahović became the second-youngest non-Italian player to score 50 goals in Serie A. This was with a late goal in a 1–1 draw against Bologna. On 11 May, he scored in the 2022 Coppa Italia Final against Inter. Juventus lost the final, but Vlahović was the top scorer in the competition with four goals. Five days later, he scored his 24th goal of the season. This made him the highest-scoring Serbian footballer in Serie A history, tied with Dejan Stanković.
On 1 July, Vlahović changed his jersey number from 7 to 9 for the 2022–23 season. On 15 August, he scored two goals in a 3–0 win against Sassuolo. He had some injuries during the season, which limited his playing time. However, he scored an important goal for Juventus in a Europa League game against Nantes.
On 15 May 2024, Vlahović scored the only goal in a 1–0 win against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final. This was his first trophy with Juventus.
International Career
Youth Teams
Vlahović played for Serbia's national youth teams. He scored three goals in a game for the under-15 team in 2015. He also played for the under-16 and under-19 teams. In an under-19 tournament, he scored against France. After Serbia won the tournament, Vlahović was named the most talented player.
Senior National Team
On 11 October 2020, Vlahović made his debut for the Serbian senior team. This was in a UEFA Nations League game against Hungary. On 18 November of the same year, he scored his first goal for Serbia. This was in a 5–0 win against Russia.
On 12 October 2021, Vlahović started scoring many goals for his country. He scored two goals against Azerbaijan. His goals were very important as Serbia qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They finished ahead of former European champions Portugal.
In November 2022, Vlahović was chosen for Serbia's team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He played in group games against Brazil and Switzerland. He scored against Switzerland in a 3–2 loss. Serbia finished last in their group.
Vlahović was also part of Serbia's team for UEFA Euro 2024. He played in all three group games before Serbia was eliminated.
Style of Play
Vlahović is a complete striker. He is known for his strong body, good technique, and ability to score goals. He is good at getting the ball in the middle of the field or on the sides. He can keep the ball even when defenders are close. He is strong enough to hold off defenders and then dribble past them.
Vlahović is good at carrying the ball. He uses his strength to keep possession and move the ball around. He can attract defenders, which creates space for his teammates or for himself. He is very dangerous inside the penalty area and is a great finisher. He can hold his position to push defenders back. Then, he quickly moves into open spaces to get the ball and score.
