Duane Davis is an American actor. He has appeared in many movies and TV shows. Some of his well-known films include Under Siege, The Program, and Ghosts of Mars.
Early Life
Duane Davis was born in Cleveland, Ohio. His father, Willie Davis, was a famous NFL player. When Duane was two, his family moved to Wisconsin.
Duane loved playing football. He played college football at the University of Missouri. However, he had knee injuries during his second and fourth years.
Acting Career
Duane Davis often plays athletes in his acting roles. In 1988, he played an athlete in the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. In 1991, he starred as Featherstone in Necessary Roughness. He said he didn't have to act much as a wide receiver who couldn't catch passes. He even pulled his hamstring during filming, but he still enjoyed the role a lot.
In 1992, Duane was in the Stephen Seagal movie Under Siege. One of his most famous roles was Alvin Mack in the 1993 film The Program. In this movie, he played a college football star. During filming, he broke a bone in his hand. He didn't want to film a scene where his character broke a leg, because it was too much like his own college football injuries. Fans still remember his lines from this movie.

In 1994, Duane appeared in the movie Past Tense. The next year, he played famous boxer Buster Douglas in the movie Tyson. He also played Bo Kimble in Final Shot: The Hank Gathers Story. In 1999, he played another boxer, Joe Louis, in a TV movie about Rocky Marciano.
In 2001, Duane played Uno in the movie Ghosts of Mars. In 2004, he was in Paparazzi as Reggie.
Duane also starred as Duke DePalma in Team Knight Rider. This was a TV show about a former boxer who fought crime. It was a spin-off from the original Knight Rider TV series. He also had a repeating role in the TV show Sisters. He appeared in other TV shows like M.A.N.T.I.S., L.A. Law, A Different World, What's Happening Now, and Head of the Class. He also had small roles in movies like Diggstown and Summer School.
Personal Life
Duane Davis lives in California. His youngest son, Wyatt Davis, also played college football at Ohio State. In 2021, Wyatt was chosen by the Minnesota Vikings to play in the National Football League. Duane's oldest son, David Davis, also played college football.
