About the Story of Duck Duck Goose
Peng's Big Adventure
The movie is about a carefree goose named Peng. He loves to have fun and doesn't always follow the rules. His flock is migrating across China. The flock leader, Bing, doesn't like Peng's attitude. One day, while Peng is sleeping, his flock leaves him behind.
Meeting Chi and Chao
Meanwhile, two small ducklings, Chi and Chao, are trying to find a special place called Pleasant Valley. They get separated from their own flock because of a silly mistake Peng makes. To hide from a sneaky cat named Banzou, the ducklings end up sleeping near Peng. They saw him scare Banzou away.
A Broken Wing and New Friends
Peng is surprised to find the ducklings. He tries to fly away quickly but accidentally breaks his wing on a gong. Now he can't fly! Peng is scared and decides to use the ducklings to help him. He wants them to protect him from other animals. He also hopes they can help him get back to his own flock. The ducklings don't really want to go with him, but they agree.
Growing Closer
As they travel, Peng, Chi, and Chao have many funny adventures. Peng starts to care about the ducklings. He even agrees to help them find their flock. But then, Peng sees his own flock. Chi and Chao realize that Peng's main goal was just to get back to his geese.
Separate Ways and a New Plan
The two groups go their separate ways. Peng tries to fly again, but he can't. A lonely squirrel named Carl helps him. Carl builds Peng a special makeshift wing. This makes Peng feel brave. He decides to go back and find Chi and Chao.
Danger in Pleasant Valley
When the ducklings finally meet their flock, they learn a scary truth. Pleasant Valley is not a safe place for ducks. It's actually a restaurant that serves ducklings! Peng arrives just in time to rescue Chi and Chao. During their escape, they get separated again.
Facing Banzou
Banzou the cat returns and captures the ducklings. Peng bravely fights Banzou to save them. Peng gets badly hurt in the fight. Chi and Chao then light a rocket and send Banzou flying away.
A Snowy Rescue
Peng is very weak. He tries to lead Chi and Chao back to his flock. But a snowstorm makes things worse. The ducklings help Peng fly towards the warm spring where the geese are. Chao remembers a special honk Peng taught him. He uses it to call for Peng's girlfriend, Jingjing. She comes and rescues Peng!
A New Family
The geese welcome the ducklings. Bing, the flock leader, even lets Chi and Chao join their group. Peng has learned to be more responsible. He introduces Jingjing to Chi and Chao. He even hints that they might have more children someday!
Larry's Journey
In a short scene after the credits, Larry, a turtle, finally arrives at the valley. He had been trying to warn Peng about Banzou. But when he gets there, everyone is gone.
