Dunean is in the middle of Greenville County. It is located at coordinates 34.823377 degrees North and -82.420234 degrees West.
It shares borders with several other places:
- To the northeast is the city of Greenville.
- To the north is Judson, which is also an unincorporated area.
- To the south is Gantt, another unincorporated area.
- To the west is Welcome.
A major road, Interstate 185, runs along the southeast side of Dunean. This highway connects to Interstate 85 about 2.5 miles southwest. Another road, U.S. Route 29, goes northeast from Dunean for 2.5 miles to the center of Greenville.
