Where is Welcome Located?
Welcome is found in the western-central part of Greenville County. It is surrounded by other communities. To the north, you will find Parker. To the east is Judson. Southwest of Welcome is Powdersville, which is in Anderson County. To the west, you will find Pickens County.
The western edge of Welcome follows the Saluda River. This river also marks the border between Greenville County and the next county over.
Major Roads in Welcome
Two important roads pass through or near Welcome. U.S. Route 123 (also known as New Easley Highway) forms the northern border of the community. This highway can take you about 4 miles (6 km) east to the center of Greenville. If you head west on this road, you will reach Easley in about 9 miles (14 km).
U.S. Route 25 (White Horse Road) goes through the eastern part of Welcome. Traveling north on this road for about 10 miles (16 km) will lead you to Travelers Rest. Going south for about 4 miles (6 km) will take you to Gantt.
