Duvernay is a small community known as a hamlet in Alberta, Canada. It is located in the central part of Alberta. This hamlet is part of the County of Two Hills No. 21.

You can find Duvernay about 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) north of where Highway 36 and Highway 29 meet. It sits right on the south bank of the North Saskatchewan River. The community of Brosseau is just across the river on the north bank.

The hamlet was named after Ludger Duvernay. He was an important person in history. A special layer of rock, called the Duvernay Formation, was also named after this hamlet. This rock layer is found deep underground in western Canada.
