About Eagle Butte

Eagle Butte is a very important place for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. It is their main office, or "tribal headquarters." This means it's where the tribe's leaders and government work. The city is located on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, which is land set aside for the tribe.

The city got its name from a nearby landform also called Eagle Butte.
