Eagleville is a small city in Rutherford County, Tennessee. It is located in the United States. In 2020, about 813 people lived there. Eagleville is also home to Eagleville High School.

History of Eagleville
Eagleville was first started in 1832. Its first name was "Liverpool." But in 1836, a post office opened. The city had to change its name because another town already used "Liverpool."
How Eagleville Got Its Name
The new name, "Eagleville," came from a story. People say a very large eagle was killed nearby. This event inspired the town's new name.
Joining Rutherford County
Eagleville was part of Williamson County for many years. But in 1877, Williamson County would not build a road. This road would have connected Eagleville to Franklin, the county seat. So, Eagleville decided to join Rutherford County instead.
Modern Improvements
In 2015, Eagleville finished building a new sewer system. This big project cost $3.1 million. It was paid for with a special loan and a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture.
