East Ithaca is a community in Tompkins County, New York, United States. It is a suburb of the City of Ithaca. This means it's a smaller town located just outside a larger city.
East Ithaca is also known as a census-designated place (CDP). This is a special area that the United States Census Bureau defines for gathering population data. In 2020, about 3,175 people lived here.
East Ithaca is located right on the eastern edge of the City of Ithaca. It is also part of the Town of Ithaca. If you go south from the main campus of Cornell University, you will find East Ithaca.
