East Mountain is a small city in Texas, United States. It is located in two different counties: Upshur and Gregg. In 2020, about 899 people lived there. This was more than the 797 people who lived there in 2010.

East Mountain is found in the southeastern part of Upshur County. Some small parts of the city also reach into Gregg County. These parts follow roads like Gilmer Road and Coulter Road. The city's edge goes northwest along Main Street and Medlin Road. It reaches a wooded hill called East Mountain, which is about 660 feet tall.
The city is about 10 miles northwest of Longview. It is also about 7 miles northeast of Gladewater. The city covers a total area of about 2.12 square miles. A very small part of this area, about 0.01 square miles, is water.
