Eddie Kadi is a British-Congolese comedian, TV presenter, and actor. He was born on May 18, 1983. He is well-known for his stand-up comedy shows and for appearing on popular TV and radio programs.

Early Life and Education
Eddie Kadi has lived in South-West London since 1992. He went to Fulham Primary School and Henry Compton Secondary School. Later, he studied at William Morris Academy. He then attended Kingston University, where he earned a degree in Media Technology. While at university, he was the President of the Afro-Caribbean Society.
Comedy Career
Becoming a Stand-Up Comedian
Eddie Kadi started his comedy journey by winning an award. In 2006, he received the BECA Award for Best Comedy Newcomer. This award helped him become more recognized in the comedy world.
Selling Out Shows
Eddie Kadi made history as the first Black British solo comedian to sell out London's IndigO2 venue. He did this twice in 2009. His success continued, and in September 2010, he performed at the much larger O2 Arena in London.
International Performances
Since then, Eddie Kadi has performed all over the world. He has appeared at major events like The Joburg Comedy Festival and Africa Laughs in Uganda. He also performed at Night of a Thousand Laughs in Ghana. His comedy has even been broadcast live across all 54 countries in Africa during the AMVCAs.
In 2017, Eddie Kadi joined famous hip-hop artist Lauryn Hill. He performed stand-up comedy at the famous Radio City Music Hall in New York City. He also toured with Lauryn Hill and Nas on their Powernomic Tour across various states in the United States.

Eddie Kadi is a presenter on BBC Radio 1Xtra. He hosts the Official UK Afrobeats Charts Show. This show plays the most popular Afrobeats songs in the UK. He also contributes regularly to BBC Radio 5 Live's sports comedy show, Fighting Talk. He co-hosted The Noughties podcast for Amazon Music's +44 Podcast, alongside Nadia Jae.
TV Appearances
Eddie Kadi has also been a team captain on the ITV comedy panel show Sorry, I Didn't Know. In 2023, he competed in the twenty-first series of Strictly Come Dancing. He danced with professional dancer Karen Hauer. They were the fourth couple to leave the competition.

Voice Acting
Eddie Kadi has used his voice for animated TV shows. He voiced a character in the Tinga Tinga Tales series, which was produced by Tiger Aspect Productions.
Film Roles
He has also acted in several films. In 2007, he played the main role in the short film Area Boys. This film was shot in Lagos, Nigeria, and premiered at the 51st London Film Festival. He appeared as Reggy in the 2010 film Shank. In 2011, he played Tunde, the parking attendant, in Anuvahood. He also appeared as a Radio DJ in the 2013 film Gone Too Far!.

Eddie Kadi has also been involved in music. He provided vocals for UK Hip Hop Artist Sway. In 2008, he was invited to Senegal. There, he hosted the launch of the "Konfidence Foundation" by Senegalese rap artist Akon.
