Eddystone is a small, quiet area in the North-east part of Tasmania. It is known as a "rural locality," which means it's a countryside area. Eddystone is part of the Break O'Day local government area.
This area is located about 53 kilometers (around 33 miles) north of the town of St Helens. According to a count in 2016, no people live in Eddystone.

History of Eddystone
Eddystone is an official locality in Tasmania. A special part of Eddystone is called Eddystone Point. This point is the most eastern edge of the area.
Eddystone Point Lighthouse
At Eddystone Point, there is a lighthouse. Lighthouses help guide ships safely at sea. This area is very important to the Aboriginal people. They know it as Larapuna.
Larapuna Lands Lease
In 2006, the government of Tasmania agreed to a 40-year lease. This lease was for the Larapuna lands around the lighthouse.
Geography of Eddystone
Eddystone is located right next to the ocean. The Tasman Sea forms its borders to the north-east, east, and south-east. This means a lot of the area is coastline.
Roads in Eddystone
To get to Eddystone Point, you can use the C846 route. This road is also called Eddystone Point Road. It comes into the area from the west and goes all the way to Eddystone Point, where it ends.
