The Edmonton Ski Club is a fun place to ski and snowboard in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It's located in Gallagher Park, right in the beautiful North Saskatchewan River valley. This spot is next to downtown Edmonton, in the community of Cloverdale. From the top of the hill, you can see an amazing view of Edmonton's city center, with the cool Muttart Conservatory nearby.

About the Ski Club
The Edmonton Ski Club is a special kind of organization called a not-for-profit Society. This means it's run to benefit the community, not to make money. It was started way back in 1911, making it a very old and important part of Edmonton's history!
What You Can Do There
During the winter, the ski club is open for everyone to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. They use machines to make snow and groom the slopes, so you always have great conditions.
The hill has four different types of lifts to get you up:
- Two Poma handle tow lifts
- One T-Bar lift
- A 280-foot long SunKid carpet lift, which was added in 2019
These lifts can carry up to 2,700 skiers every hour!
A Place for Champions
Did you know that a famous Canadian Olympian learned to ski at the Edmonton Ski Club? Jennifer Heil, who won a gold medal in freestyle skiing, started her journey right here! This shows that the club is a great place to learn and improve your skiing skills.
More Than Just Skiing
When winter is over, the ski slopes transform into something else entirely! In August each year, these same hills become giant seating areas for the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. It's pretty cool how the same spot can be used for two totally different, fun events!
Recent History
The Edmonton Ski Club closed for one season, but it happily reopened in December 2019. This means it's ready for more people to come and enjoy the slopes!
