About Edward S. Feldman
Edward S. Feldman grew up in The Bronx, a part of New York City. He went to DeWitt Clinton High School and then Michigan State University. After college, he started working at 20th Century Fox. He began in their press department, writing for fan magazines and newspapers. He quickly became the main contact for the press in New York City.
Edward's work at Fox was paused for two years when he joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. His boss, a colonel, wanted Edward to use his skills to help him become a general. Edward successfully helped him get promoted before returning to his civilian job.
In 1959, Edward left Fox. He worked to promote the movie The World of Suzie Wong for Paramount Pictures. This job took him to Hong Kong for filming. Later, he joined Embassy Pictures to lead their advertising and publicity.
A few years later, he joined Seven Arts Productions. One of his first big projects there was the movie Lolita. When Seven Arts bought Warner Bros., Edward moved to Hollywood. He started getting involved in making films directly.
Edward also helped with the advertising for the famous Broadway show Funny Girl.

Edward Feldman's first movie as a producer was the 1971 film What's the Matter with Helen?. He went on to produce many well-known movies. Some of his famous films include:

Edward Feldman was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture for the movie Witness. He also received nominations for the BAFTA Award for Best Film for Witness and The Truman Show. In 2001, the Hollywood Film Festival honored him for his amazing work in producing films.
Edward S. Feldman passed away on October 2, 2020, in Los Angeles.
