Playing in the Olympics
The Egyptian men's volleyball team has taken part in the Olympic Games six times. Their first appearance was in 1976. In the 2016 Olympics, they achieved their best result, finishing 9th. They also played in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

World Championship Appearances
Egypt has competed in the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship 11 times. Their first time was in 1974. Their best finish was 13th place in the 2010 tournament. The team has qualified for the 2025 World Championship.
World Cup Challenges
The team has participated in the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup eight times. They first played in 1977. Their highest rank was 8th place in the 1985 World Cup.
African Championship Success
The Egyptian team has been very successful in the Men's African Volleyball Championship. They have won the gold medal nine times! Their victories include 1976, 1983, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and most recently, 2023. They have also won silver and bronze medals in this competition.
Other Tournaments
The team also competes in other important events:
- Challenger Cup: In 2024, they won a bronze medal.
- Mediterranean Games: They won gold in 2005.
- All-Africa Games: They have won gold medals multiple times, including in 1965, 1973, 1995, 2003, 2007, and 2023.
- Universiade: They earned a bronze medal in 2009.
