Eichberg is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the canton of St. Gallen. This town is part of the Rheintal area. It's a peaceful place with beautiful nature.

Eichberg has a long history. It was first mentioned way back in the year 891. Back then, it was known by a different name, Hermentines, which was a Romansh name. Later, in 1282, people started calling it Aichilberch. By 1290, its name changed slightly again to Aitberge.
