Eldar Djangirov, born on January 28, 1987, is a super talented American jazz pianist. He is often known simply as Eldar. He started playing piano at a very young age and quickly became famous for his amazing skills.

Eldar's Early Life

Eldar was born in Bishkek, which was part of the Soviet Union at the time. His mom, Tatiana, was a piano teacher, and his dad, Emil, was a professor. His family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, when he was 10 years old. Later, during his teenage years, he also lived in San Diego, California.

Eldar's Amazing Career

How Eldar Started Playing Piano

Eldar began playing the piano when he was just three years old. The first song he remembers learning was "C Jam Blues". He also took classical piano lessons. When he was nine, a jazz fan named Charles McWhorter "discovered" him playing at a festival in Siberia. This led his family to move to Kansas City, Missouri, which is famous for its jazz music history.

Becoming a Young Star

Even before he was a teenager, Eldar was known as a child prodigy. A child prodigy is someone who is incredibly talented at a very young age. When he was only 12, he appeared on a famous radio show called Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland. He was the youngest person ever to be on her show!

Eldar went to different schools, including the Interlochen Center for the Arts when he was a young teenager. Later, he studied at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music.
