Eleanor Grace Harvey is a Canadian fencer. She was born on January 14, 1995. She is known for competing in the foil event.
Eleanor is a three-time Olympian. She won a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She has also won many medals at other big competitions. These include the Pan American Games and the Pan American Fencing Championships.

Eleanor's Early Life
Eleanor Harvey became interested in the Olympics when she was young. She watched the 2000 Sydney Games and wanted to be an Olympian.
She first tried long-distance running. Then, at eight years old, she started Karate. She trained for two years. She later found out that karate was not an Olympic sport at that time.
A family friend heard an interview with fencer Sherraine Schalm. They suggested fencing to Eleanor. This is how she found her sport.
Eleanor's Fencing Career
Eleanor Harvey has had a very successful fencing career. She has represented Canada in many major events.
Olympic Appearances
Eleanor first qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. She was one of the top fencers in the Americas. In Rio, she surprised everyone. She beat the world's number one fencer, Arianna Errigo. Eleanor reached the quarterfinals and finished seventh. This was the best finish for a Canadian fencer at the Olympics at that time.
She also competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She reached the round of 16 in the individual foil event. She was defeated by Lee Kiefer, who went on to win the gold medal. Canada's team also placed fifth in the women's team foil event.
At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Eleanor made history. She won Canada's first Olympic medal in fencing. She earned a bronze medal in the individual foil event. She beat Alice Volpi in a tough match. Eleanor also competed in the women's team foil event. Her team finished in fourth place.

- Silver medals in team foil (2019 Lima, 2023 Santiago) and individual foil (2023 Santiago).

- Gold medals in individual foil and team foil at the 2022 Asunción Championships.
- Silver medals in team foil (2015 Santiago, 2016 Panama City, 2017 Montreal, 2019 Toronto, 2024 Lima) and individual foil (2024 Lima).
- Bronze medal in individual foil (2019 Toronto).
- Junior World Championships:
- Two silver medals in individual foil (2014 Plovdiv, 2015 Tashkent).

- Two gold medals in individual foil and team foil (2013 Ponce).
