Elena Curtoni (born on 3 February 1991) is an Italian alpine ski racer. She competes in the World Cup circuit. Elena's sister, Irene Curtoni, was also a World Cup ski racer.
About Elena Curtoni
Elena was born in Morbegno, a town in Italy. She has represented Italy in six World Championships.
She started her World Cup career in November 2009 when she was 18 years old. Elena achieved her first podium finish (meaning she placed in the top three) in March 2016. Her first big win came in a downhill race in Bansko, Bulgaria, in January 2020. In that race, Italian skiers took all top three spots, with Elena leading the way! Her teammates Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone finished right behind her.
Elena has won 3 World Cup races in total: 2 in downhill and 1 in Super-G. She has stood on the podium 12 times in her career.
World Cup Highlights
Elena has been a strong competitor in the World Cup. In the 2022 season, she finished 13th overall. She also placed 2nd in the Super-G standings that year, showing her skill in that specific discipline. In the 2023 season, she achieved her best overall ranking yet, finishing 9th.
