Elmendorf is a small city located in Bexar County, Texas, in the United States. It is part of the larger San Antonio—New Braunfels metropolitan area. In 2020, about 1,862 people lived there.
The city was started in 1885. It was named after Henry Elmendorf, who used to be the mayor of San Antonio. He was a German-Texan. For many years, a company called Star Clay Products was the biggest employer in Elmendorf.

Elmendorf is found in the southeastern part of Bexar County. It is about 17 miles (27 km) southeast of downtown San Antonio. The city is located where Farm to Market Road 327 meets the Southern Pacific Railroad. A small part of Elmendorf also stretches into Wilson County to the southeast.
