What is Energy Plaza?

The design of Energy Plaza is quite unique. It is based on three triangles that fit together. At the very top of the building, there is a special communications tower. This tower is a smaller version of a design from a company called Landmark Tower Company.

How Energy Plaza Was Built

Building Energy Plaza started in May 1980. It took about three years to finish. The building officially opened in August 1983. It was first built for a company called the Atlantic Richfield Company. They used it as their main office for that region. Because of this, the building was first known as the ARCO Tower.

Who Uses Energy Plaza Today?

Today, many different companies and organizations have offices in Energy Plaza. Some of the main groups that use the building include Energy Future Holdings, Oncor Electric Delivery, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Another important tenant is Civitas Capital Management LLC.
