Enitan Bereola II was born in San Jose, California, in 1982. His parents are Enitan (Olu) Bereola and Gwendolyn Toney. He went to Piedmont Hills High School for his early education. Later, he studied computer information systems and business marketing at Florida Agricultural and Medical University.
Bereola started writing when he was 25 years old. He is known as a best-selling author. This means his books have sold a lot of copies. He has also been a celebrity ghostwriter. A ghostwriter writes books for famous people, but their name is not on the cover. He used to write columns for Soul Train and gave relationship advice for Essence Magazine.
Today, Enitan is a co-founder and creative director at SAINT MILES®. This company helps create unique brands. He also started The Bereolaesque Group. This company helps with branding and publishing books. Enitan is married and lives in Oakland, California.
His Writing Career
Bereola wrote his first book in 2009. It was called Bereolaesque: The Contemporary Gentleman & Etiquette Book for the Urban Sophisticate. This book was published by AuthorHouse. It quickly became one of the top 5 self-improvement books on iTunes in 2009. It was also a bestseller on Amazon Kindle that year.
In 2013, Bereola released his second book, Gentlewoman: Etiquette for a Lady, from a Gentleman. This book talks about how manners and ladylike qualities have changed in today's world. Famous people like New York Times best-selling author Hill Harper shared their thoughts in the book. Other celebrities like Meagan Good, Grammy award winner Michelle Williams, and Bryan-Michael Cox also contributed. Gentlewoman became a bestseller in America. It was also one of the top translated bestsellers in Lithuania.
His third book, The Gray: A Relationship Etiquette Study, came out in December 2016. This book looks at relationships and is based on real-life stories. The Gray was even shown as fine art at Art Basel in Miami Beach.
Bereola has also contributed to other books. These include Letters to an Incarcerated Brother by Hill Harper (2013), Revival by Angela Benton (2017), and The Mind of a Winner by Steve Canal (2017). The book The Mind of a Winner included contributions from famous people like Daymond John and 2 Chainz.
In 2010, Bereola helped produce a short film called This Time. It was directed by Academy Award winning director Matthew A. Cherry. The film featured actresses Terri J. Vaughn and Reagan Gomez-Preston.
