Meagan Monique Good (born August 8, 1981) is an American actress and model. She started acting when she was very young. Meagan first became well-known for her role in the movie Eve's Bayou (1997). After that, she played Nina in the Nickelodeon TV show Cousin Skeeter (1998–2001).
Meagan Good gained more fame by starring in movies like Deliver Us from Eva (2003), Roll Bounce (2005), and Stomp the Yard (2007). In 2012, she was part of the cast in the movie Think Like a Man. The next year, she played the main character, Joanna Locasto, in the NBC drama series Deception. She also appeared in the comedy Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Meagan has also had roles in superhero films like Shazam! (2019) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), where she played the superhero version of Darla Dudley. She also helped produce and starred in Tyler Perry's Divorce in the Black (2024).

Early Life and Family
Meagan Good was born in Panorama City, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Tyra Wardlow-Doyle, worked as her manager when Meagan was a teenager. Her father, Leondis "Leon" Good, is a police officer for the LAPD.
Meagan has shared that her family background is very diverse. She has said her maternal grandmother was Jewish and African. Her mother's father was Cherokee and other backgrounds. Her paternal grandmother was Puerto Rican and Black, and her paternal grandfather was from Barbados. Meagan grew up in Canyon Country, which is now known as Santa Clarita. She has three siblings, including her older sister, La'Myia Good, who is also an actress. Meagan began her acting career when she was about four years old.
When she was a teenager, Meagan was a fan of singers like Justin Timberlake and Usher. She later found a role model in actress Charlize Theron when she became an adult.
Career Highlights
Starting as a Child Actor
Early in her career, Meagan Good worked as an extra in TV shows like Doogie Howser, M.D. and Amen. When she was 13, she got her first movie role in the 1995 comedy Friday.
She gained important recognition for her role as Cisely Batiste in the 1997 film Eve's Bayou. This role earned her two award nominations, including her first NAACP Image Award nomination.
Becoming an Adult Star
From 1998 to 2001, Meagan played Nina on the Nickelodeon TV show Cousin Skeeter. During this time, she also had small roles in movies like 3 Strikes and House Party 4: Down to the Last Minute. Meagan also appeared in many music videos for artists such as 50 Cent and Will Smith.
In the early 2000s, Meagan started taking on more grown-up roles. She felt she was able to do this because she often played characters who were younger than her actual age.
In 2003, Meagan had a big year. She got roles in the action-drama Biker Boyz and the romantic-comedy Deliver Us from Eva. These roles helped her move from being a child actress to an adult actress. She also played Vanessa for one season of My Wife and Kids.
In 2004, Meagan starred in the action film D.E.B.S. and was nominated for Best Actress at the 2005 Black Movie Awards. She also had small parts in the dance movie You Got Served and The Cookout.

In 2010, Meagan started her own production company called Freedom Bridge Entertainment. In 2012, she was part of the cast of Think Like a Man, a movie based on Steve Harvey's book. Personal Life
Meagan Good considers herself a spiritual person and a Protestant, even though she was not raised in a church. She has said in interviews that she tries to choose roles that she feels would not "disappoint God." She has also mentioned that Jesus is her top hero and that she reads the Bible.
In 2011, Meagan Good began dating DeVon Franklin, who was an executive at Columbia Pictures and a preacher. They got engaged in April 2012 and were married on June 16, 2012, in Malibu, California. In December 2021, it was announced that Meagan and DeVon were getting a divorce after nine years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June 2022.
In May 2023, Meagan Good started dating actor Jonathan Majors. In November 2024, the couple announced they were engaged. They first met in 2022 at an event for Ebony magazine.
