Cousin Skeeter was a popular American sitcom for kids. It first aired on Nickelodeon from 1998 to 2001. The show starred Robert Ri'chard as Bobby, a young boy whose life changed a lot. This happened when his unique cousin, Skeeter, came to live with his family.

With Skeeter's help, Bobby learned important life lessons. He also handled the challenges of growing up. The show also featured Meagan Good as Bobby's friend Nina. Rondell Sheridan played Bobby's father, Andre. Angela Means was Bobby's mother, Vanessa. Skeeter was actually a hand puppet. Bill Bellamy gave Skeeter his voice. Drew Massey was the puppeteer, helped by Alice Dinnean. In the show, everyone treated Skeeter like a real person. No one ever mentioned that he was a puppet.

The show's theme song was a fun version of "Steelo". This was a hit song from 1996 by the group 702. The famous artist Missy Elliott wrote it.

André is Bobby's father. He works as a music producer.

Nina is Bobby's best friend. They both liked each other when the show started. Later, they even began dating. Nina talks very fast. She is also Nicole's best friend.

  • Vanessa Walker (portrayed by Angela Means)

Vanessa is Bobby's mother. She is a lawyer. Like Bobby, she often gets annoyed by Skeeter's antics. She and Andre look forward to the boys going to college. They sometimes try to get Skeeter and Bobby out of their hair.

Supporting Friends

Nicole is a female puppet character. She is more polite and calm than Skeeter. She first appeared in the second season. This was in a TV movie called "New Kids on the Planet."
