Alice Dinnean (born May 23, 1969) is an American puppeteer, writer, and voice actress. She is well-known for her work with The Jim Henson Company. Alice has brought many characters to life on popular children's TV shows.
Some of these shows include Sesame Street, Bear in the Big Blue House, and Sid the Science Kid. She has also worked on other TV productions.

Alice Dinnean's Career in Puppetry
Alice Dinnean's journey into puppetry started early. She won a pig puppet as a prize in an essay contest in Oakland, California. This sparked her interest in the art of puppetry.
After studying at Oberlin College, she gained experience. She interned at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia. This helped her learn more about creating and performing with puppets.
Working with The Jim Henson Company
In the early 1990s, Alice joined The Jim Henson Company. This company is famous for creating the Muppets. She began performing characters for the beloved children's TV series, Sesame Street.
On Sesame Street, she played several memorable characters. These included Sherry Netherland, who owned the Furry Arms Hotel. She also performed Phoebe, a character from the Monster Clubhouse from 2001 to 2003.
Other TV Shows and Productions
Beyond Muppet productions, Alice Dinnean worked on other TV series. She performed on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. On this show, she brought a demon puppet to life in one episode. She also performed a living mummy hand in another episode.
After Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended in 2003, Alice continued her work. She performed the puppet-like character of Angel in an episode called Smile Time. She worked alongside fellow puppeteer Drew Massey on this project.
Alice Dinnean also performed as Mary on the Emmy-winning children's series, Jack's Big Music Show. This show was created by David Rudman, another puppeteer from Sesame Street.
In 2007, she wrote episodes for Bunnytown, a children's show on Disney Junior. She also performed characters on the show. She performed Cowbella in music videos for Pajanimals on the Sprout channel.
In September 2017, Alice was an additional Muppet performer. She took part in a live show at the Hollywood Bowl. The show was called The Muppets Take the Bowl.
