Muppet Babies is a fun computer-animated TV show. It features toddler versions of the famous Muppets characters. The show started on Disney Junior and Disney Channel on March 23, 2018. It's a new version, or reboot, of the original Muppet Babies series from 1984.
The show brings back young versions of classic Muppets. These include Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo, and Animal. You'll also see the second appearance of Nanny, now called "Miss Nanny." A new character, Summer Penguin, also joins the group. In July 2019, the show was renewed for a third season. This season began airing on January 4, 2021.

The show is all about Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Summer Penguin, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and The Great Gonzo. They use their amazing imaginations to go on exciting adventures. These adventures happen right in their playroom!

Main Characters
- Kermit the Frog (voiced by Matt Danner) – Kermit is a calm and kind frog. He loves going on adventures and making music with his banjo. Sometimes, he can get a little stressed by his friends' silly actions. He is also the leader of the Muppet Babies.
- Miss Piggy (voiced by Melanie Harrison) – Miss Piggy is a beautiful and fancy pig. She can be a bit dramatic and thinks she's a big star. She also has a crush on Kermit. She usually speaks in a high voice, but it gets deeper when she's very excited or angry. She is best friends with Summer.
- Fozzie Bear (voiced by Eric Bauza) – Fozzie is a fun-loving and silly bear. He really wants to be a comedian and tell jokes. He is also best friends with Kermit.
- The Great Gonzo (voiced by Benjamin Diskin) – Gonzo is a very unique and surprising character. He loves to do amazing stunts and anything that seems a bit weird.
- Animal (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) – Animal is a wild monster who loves playing the drums. He's full of energy!
- Summer Penguin (voiced by Jessica DiCicco) – Summer is a kind and sweet penguin. She comes from the South Pole and loves to create art. She is best friends with Piggy.
- Miss Nanny (voiced by Jenny Slate) – Miss Nanny takes care of the Muppet Babies. You only see her from her shoulders down. The patterns on her stockings change to match what's happening in the episode. Miss Nanny even won a gold medal in gymnastics!
- Camilla the Chicken (vocal effects by Melanie Harrison) – Camilla is a white chick and Gonzo's best friend. She often joins in the Muppet Babies' activities.

- Mr. Statler and Mr. Waldorf (voiced by Eric Bauza and Matt Danner) – These two are Miss Nanny's neighbors. They often watch the Muppet Babies from their balcony and make funny comments.
- Rizzo the Rat (voiced by Benjamin Diskin) – Rizzo is a rat who lives in a mouse hole in the playroom. He can be a bit selfish and likes to make plans.
- Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (voiced by Eric Bauza) – Bunsen is a young scientist who loves to invent things.
- Beaker (voiced by Matt Danner) – Beaker is Bunsen’s assistant. He often helps with experiments.
- Rowlf the Dog (voiced by Matt Danner) – Rowlf is a friendly and relaxed dog. He loves to sing and play music, usually on his piano.
- Sweetums (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) – Sweetums is a big, friendly ogre. He lives next door to the babies' daycare.
- The Swedish Chef (voiced by Matt Danner) – The Swedish Chef is a cooking genius who speaks in a funny, mock-Swedish way.
- Robin the Frog (voiced by Eric Bauza) – Robin is a small polliwog and Kermit's nephew. He still has a tail because he's a tadpole!
- Scooter (voiced by Ogie Banks) – Scooter is a young boy who wears a green and yellow track jacket.
- Skeeter (voiced by Cree Summer) – Skeeter is Scooter's twin sister. She is very athletic and wears a purple sports jacket.

- Priscilla – Priscilla is one of Camilla's chick friends. She is yellow.
- Beep – Beep is another one of Camilla's chick friends. He is brown and makes a car horn sound instead of clucking.
- Carlos (voiced by Todrick Hall) - Carlos is a blue frog. He appears in "Frogs of a Feather" and later joins the Frog Scouts with Kermit and Robin.
- Mr. Manny (voiced by Dulé Hill) - Mr. Manny is a friend of Miss Nanny. Like Miss Nanny, you never see his head. Mr. Manny often says things are "groovy" while wiggling his hips. He volunteers at the library and leads the Frog Scouts.
- Rozzie (voiced by Charlie Townsend) - Rozzie is a young koala. She is Fozzie's adopted sister.
How the Show is Made
Unlike the older series, this new Muppet Babies is made using computer-generated animation. Each episode has two stories, each about 11 minutes long. The show is made for children between the ages of four and seven.
Tom Warburton, who created Codename: Kids Next Door, is the executive producer. Eric Shaw, who used to write for SpongeBob SquarePants, is the story editor and co-producer. The show is a team effort by Disney Junior, Odd Bot Animation, Snowball Studios, and The Muppets Studio.
Release Dates
The series first aired on Disney Junior in the United States on March 23, 2018. It premiered in Canada the very next day. In Mexico, it started on June 10.
