Time with Portland Thunder and Ottawa Redblacks

In 2014, Eric was assigned to the Portland Thunder in the Arena Football League (AFL). However, he soon signed with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL. He didn't make the Redblacks' main team.

Playing for the San Francisco 49ers

On January 20, 2016, Eric Rogers signed with the San Francisco 49ers. He had visited 16 different NFL teams before choosing the 49ers. Sadly, he tore his ACL during training camp. This injury meant he missed the entire 2016 season.

On August 27, 2016, Eric was placed on injured reserve. The 49ers later waived him on May 2, 2017.

Second Time with the Calgary Stampeders

Eric Rogers decided to return to the Stampeders on June 6, 2018. He played in nine games during the 2018 CFL season. He caught 36 passes for 499 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. He missed half of that season because of a knee injury.
