Erika Eleniak (born September 29, 1969) is an American-Canadian actress and model. She is famous for her role as Shauni McClain in the popular TV show Baywatch.

Eleniak's first movie role was a small part in the classic film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). She also starred in movies like the horror film The Blob (1988), the action movie Under Siege (1992), and the comedy The Beverly Hillbillies (1993).

Early Life and Family

Erika Eleniak was born in Glendale, California. Her father has Ukrainian roots, and her mother has Estonian and German roots. Her great-grandfather on her father's side was one of the first Ukrainian immigrants to settle in Canada.

Acting Career

First Movie Roles

Eleniak started her movie career when she was 12 years old. Her first role was in the 1982 movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She played the girl who Elliott, the main character, kisses in a classroom scene.

In 1988, she appeared in the horror movie The Blob. It was a remake of a popular 1958 film. In the movie, she played Vicki De Soto, a character who becomes a victim of the blob creature.

Television Fame

In 1989, Eleniak became a well-known model. That same year, she started acting in the TV show Charles in Charge as the girlfriend of the main character.

Her biggest role came in 1989 when she was cast as Shauni McClain in Baywatch. She played this leading role for three years, until 1992. She also made a guest appearance on the family show Full House in 1990.

Success in Movies

In 1992, Eleniak starred in the action movie Under Siege with actor Steven Seagal. She played Jordan Tate, a model hired for a party on a U.S. Navy battleship.

The next year, she played Elly May Clampett in the movie version of The Beverly Hillbillies. In 1994, she starred in the comedy Chasers. She continued to act in many other movies and TV shows throughout her career.

Reality TV and Health

In 2005, Eleniak was on the reality TV show The Real Gilligan's Island. A year later, she joined the cast of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club. On the show, she worked with a team to focus on her health and fitness.

Personal Life

Eleniak was once engaged to Billy Warlock, who played her love interest on Baywatch. In 1998, she married Philip Goglia, but they divorced six months later.

While filming the movie Snowbound in Calgary, Canada, she fell in love with the city. She began dating Roch Daigle, who worked on the movie set. She bought a home in Calgary and later married him. After facing some challenges starting a family, Eleniak gave birth to a daughter.
