When Erin was 5, her family moved to San Antonio, Texas. About a year and a half later, they moved to Valrico, Florida. This was because her dad, who had won six Emmy Awards, started working as a reporter for WFLA-TV.
Erin describes herself as a tomboy when she was young. A tomboy is a girl who enjoys activities often linked with boys, like sports. Her life always revolved around sports.
