Erin Molan (born 24 August 1983) is an Australian television and radio presenter. She also used to write columns for The Daily Telegraph newspaper.

Erin worked for the Nine Network for many years. She was a big part of their National Rugby League (NRL) sports coverage. She also hosted the Australian Open tennis tournament on the 9Gem channel. Erin was a sports presenter for Nine News Sydney. She also hosted The Sunday Footy Show and used to host The NRL Footy Show.

Early Life and Education

Erin Molan was born in Canberra, Australia. She grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, for some time. Because her dad, Jim Molan, was in the Australian Army, her family moved a lot. This meant Erin went to sixteen different schools!

Erin's Career Journey

Erin's first job in media was at a local TV station in Canberra. After that, she worked for WIN Television as a reporter and presenter. In 2010, she moved to Sydney to work for the Nine Network.

Joining The Footy Show

In 2012, Erin started appearing regularly on The NRL Footy Show. She was often a roving reporter, meaning she traveled around to get stories. By 2014, she became a main co-host of the show. She worked alongside famous sports personalities like Paul Vautin and Beau Ryan. Erin also appeared on The Sunday Footy Show from 2012.

Hosting Other Sports

Erin also hosted Nine's Wide World of Sports coverage of the 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series. This was a big netball tournament.

Changes to The Footy Show

From 2018, Erin became the main host of both The NRL Footy Show and The Sunday Footy Show. However, in October 2018, The NRL Footy Show ended after 24 years. This was because fewer people were watching the show.

Moving to Sky News

In December 2021, Erin left the Nine Network. She then joined Sky News Australia as a presenter. Around the same time, she was asked if she wanted to become a politician for a party called the Liberal Party of Australia. She said she wasn't ready yet, but maybe "down the track."

Recent Career Changes

In December 2024, her job at Sky News ended suddenly. She mentioned it was due to budget reasons. After this, she traveled to Israel. There, she met with the country's president, Isaac Herzog. She also spoke with families who had loved ones taken during a conflict. The president thanked her for showing support to these families.

Personal Life

In April 2017, Erin Molan announced she was engaged to Sean Ogilvy, who was a policeman. Their daughter was born in 2018. Three years later, Erin shared that her relationship with Sean had ended.
