His Career Before Politics

After finishing university, Mr. Tatar worked as an accountant in London from 1982 to 1986. He then worked for a company called Polly Peck until 1991.

Key Political Roles

In 2009, he was first elected to the Parliament. He served as the Finance Minister under Derviş Eroğlu. He held this position until his party lost the election in 2013. In 2015, he tried to become the leader of the UBP but was not successful. He tried again in 2018 and won.
