The National Stadium of Costa Rica (Spanish: Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica) is a large stadium in San José, Costa Rica. It is mostly used for exciting football matches. This stadium is the biggest in Costa Rica and one of the largest in Central America. It can hold about 35,000 people. It is the home field for the Costa Rica national football team.
The stadium first opened its doors in 2011. It was built in the exact same spot where an older national stadium, built in 1924, used to stand.
