Estelle's Early Life
Estelle Chen grew up in Paris. Her parents came from Wenzhou, a city in Zhejiang province, China.
When Estelle was 14 years old, in 2012, a talent scout from Elite Model Management discovered her. The next year, in 2013, she won the Elite Model Look contest in France. This big win meant she got to represent her country at the international competition in Shenzhen, China. She did very well, placing in the top 15 models from around the world! After that, she signed a three-year contract with Elite Model Management.
Starting Her Modeling Career
Estelle began her journey on the fashion runway in September 2014. One of her first big moments was walking for Eudon Choi. Later that year, she was featured in SKP Magazine.
In January 2015, Estelle walked for La Perla Atelier, which was their very first special collection. She also appeared in ads for swimsuit brand Mikoh and clothing brand Luxe Deluxe.
Becoming a Top Model
Estelle's career really took off during the Fall/Winter 2015 fashion weeks in March 2015. She walked for many famous designers like Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, and Miu Miu.
In May, she walked in the Dior Resort 2016 fashion show. She even appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia Beauty in June, which is a big deal for models. That same month, she walked for Dior again, this time in Tokyo.
Throughout 2015, Estelle continued to walk for many top brands. These included Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Jean Paul Gaultier, Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors, and Chloé. She also appeared in a special lookbook for Louis Vuitton.
Estelle Chen became even more famous when she walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in both 2017 and 2018. This is a very well-known event in the modeling world.
