Eugene Bernard Holiday was the very first Governor of Sint Maarten. He was born on December 14, 1962. Sint Maarten became its own country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands on October 10, 2010. Mr. Holiday started his important role as Governor on that same day. Before becoming Governor, he was the president of Princess Juliana International Airport.
About Eugene Holiday
Eugene Bernard Holiday was born in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten. He was the fourth of seven children in his family. His parents were Eugene Bernard Holiday Sr. and Leonie Cassandra Marsham.
Education and Family Life
Mr. Holiday went to school in the Netherlands starting in 1979. He studied economics at the Catholic University of Brabant. This university is now known as Tilburg University. He earned his master's degree in economics in 1987. In 1990, he married Marie-Louise Hazel.
