Eunice is a city located in Lea County, in the state of New Mexico, United States. In 2020, about 3,056 people lived there.

About Eunice
The city of Eunice is led by a Mayor. As of 2018, the mayor was Billy Hobbs.
About 5 miles (8 km) east of Eunice, there is a special facility called URENCO USA. This facility uses a process called uranium enrichment. This process helps to prepare uranium for use in nuclear power plants. It has been operating since 2010.
Geography of Eunice
Eunice is in the southeastern part of Lea County. A road called State Road 18 goes around the east side of the city. This road goes north about 19 miles (31 km) to Hobbs, which is the biggest city in the county. It also goes south about 23 miles (37 km) to Jal.
Another road, State Road 176, goes through the middle of Eunice from east to west. Carlsbad is about 68 miles (109 km) to the west. The border with Texas is only about 5.5 miles (8.9 km) to the east. If you follow State Road 176 into Texas, you can reach Andrews, Texas, which is about 37 miles (60 km) away.
The United States Census Bureau says that Eunice covers a total area of about 4.1 square miles (10.6 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. Only a very small part, about 0.01 square miles (0.02 square kilometers), is water.
