Jorge Facundo Arana Tagle (born March 31, 1972) is an Argentine actor and musician. He has won many awards for his work in television and theater in Argentina. Facundo Arana is also well-known for his important charity work.

About Facundo Arana
Facundo Arana was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His father, Jorge Arana Tagle, was a lawyer. His mother, Mathilde von Bernard, was an athlete and hockey player. He went to St Catherine's Moorlands de Pilar school.
When he was 17, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. This is a type of cancer that affects the body's immune system. He had treatment for 11 months and was checked by doctors for five years. After that, he was declared cancer-free.
Facundo Arana is also an adventurer. In November 2010, he climbed Mount Aconcagua. He did this to help people learn about the importance of donating blood. He placed a flag on top of the mountain to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the first blood transfusion in Argentina.
In 2012, he tried to climb Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain. His goal was to raise awareness about helping others and donating blood. He had to stop his climb because of a breathing problem. But he didn't give up! On May 23, 2016, he successfully reached the top of Mount Everest.

Facundo Arana was in a relationship with actress Isabel Macedo for ten years. Since 2007, he has been with model María Susini. They have three children: India, Yaco, and León Moro. Facundo and María got married on December 20, 2012.
Facundo Arana's Acting Career
Facundo Arana started his acting career in the 1990s. He appeared in several TV shows on Canal 9, like Alta comedia and El Rafa.
Early Roles in the 1990s
In 1997, he got a very important role in the popular children's series Chiquititas. At first, he played the bad guy, Alejo Méndez Ayala. But in 1998, he became the romantic lead, falling in love with the main character, played by Romina Yan.
After Chiquititas, from late 1998 to 1999, he starred in Muñeca Brava. These shows were very popular not just in Argentina, but also in countries like Russia, Israel, and many parts of Latin America. This helped Facundo Arana become famous around the world. In Israel, he even won an award for Best Actor.
Success in the 2000s
In 2000, he co-starred in the comedy Buenos vecinos. He then made his first movie in 2001, Chiquititas: Rincón de luz, with Romina Yan. He also appeared in the film La fuga.
His next big role was in the TV show Yago, pasión morena in 2001. For this role, he won his first Martín Fierro Award for Best Leading Telenovela Actor. In 2002, he starred in 099 Central with Nancy Dupláa and won another Martín Fierro Award.
In 2004, he worked with Nancy Dupláa again in the show Padre Coraje. This show was very successful, and he won his third Martín Fierro Award for Best Actor. He also won an award at the Iberoamerican Telenovela Festival.
In 2005, he performed in the play Visitando al Sr. Green and won theater awards. In 2006, he starred in Sos mi vida, which became the most-watched show in Argentina that year. It was also popular in other countries. He also starred in the movie Tocar el cielo. Between 2007 and 2008, he was in the play Codicia. In 2008, he starred in the TV show Vidas robadas.
Roles in the 2010s
In 2010, Facundo Arana returned to movies with the independent film El agua del fin del mundo. In 2011, he was back on TV in Cuando me sonreís with Julieta Díaz. He also made a documentary called Donar sangre salva vidas (Donating Blood Saves Lives).
He returned to theater in 2012 and 2013 with the play En el aire. From 2013 to 2014, he was one of the main actors in the series Farsantes. From late 2014 to mid-2015, he starred in Noche y día.
In 2016, he continued with his play En el aire. In September, he performed a concert with his band, Facundo Arana & The Blue Light Orquestra, to present his second music album.
In 2017, he continued touring with En el aire. He also started a new play, Los Puentes de Madison, with Araceli González. That year, he released his first solo music album, Salir a tocar, which featured jazz and blues music. The first song from the album was "Stand by Me".
Helping Others
In recent years, Facundo Arana has dedicated much of his time to helping others. He is an Ambassador for the Fundaleu foundation and takes part in their campaigns. He has also supported campaigns for other organizations like UNICEF.
He started the "Donar Sangre Salva Vidas" (Donating Blood Saves Lives) campaign. He has made two documentaries about it and continues to support it. He has also used his acting career to help, through shows like Vidas robadas and Poder se puede. With Poder se puede, he traveled to remote parts of Argentina to help. In 2012, he became the "Godfather" of the first university for indigenous students in Abra Pampa, Jujuy Province.
