Music career highlights
Starting out: 2015–2016
In 2015, Famous Dex released his first mixtape, Never Seen It Coming. A mixtape is like an album, but often released independently. Later that year, he released his second mixtape, Dexter's Laboratory.
In early 2016, he released two more mixtapes: Drippy and #OhhMannGoddDamn.
In March 2016, Famous Dex joined Rich the Kid's music label, Rich Forever Music. Soon after, they released a joint mixtape called Rich Forever. They continued to release more collaborative projects, including Rich Forever 3, which featured new rapper Jay Critch. In October 2016, Famous Dex appeared in Soulja Boy's music video for "Draco".

On December 31, 2019, he released an EP (Extended Play) called Dexter 2031 on SoundCloud. An EP is shorter than an album.
