Fanny Marguerite Judith Ardant was born on March 22, 1949. She is a famous French actress and film director. She has won many awards, including two César Awards and a Lumière Award.

Early Life and Education

Fanny Ardant was born in Saumur, France. Her father worked for the military. She grew up in Monaco until she was 17. Then, she moved to Aix-en-Provence to study at a special school called the Institut d'études politiques d'Aix-en-Provence. When she was in her early twenties, she became interested in acting. She first appeared on stage in 1974.

Fanny was the youngest of five children. She went to a convent school in Monte Carlo. She loved to read and discovered the writer Marcel Proust when she was 15.

In this film, she acted alongside Gérard Depardieu. The movie was directed by François Truffaut. For this role, Ardant was nominated for a César Award in 1982.
