Farah Farhanah, known professionally as Farah Quinn, is a famous celebrity chef from Indonesia. She is also a restaurant owner and a popular TV star known for her cooking shows. In 2013, she won the Panasonic Gobel Award for being the best presenter on a hobby and lifestyle TV show.

Early Life and Education
Farah Quinn was born on April 8, 1980, in Bandung, Indonesia. She spent her childhood in the city of Palembang in Sumatera.
For high school, she moved to the United States and studied in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At first, she went to college at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study finance. However, her passion for cooking was so strong that she decided to change her career path. She switched her studies to culinary arts (the art of cooking) and earned a degree in pastry arts from the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute.
Career as a Chef
After finishing her studies, Farah moved to Phoenix, Arizona. She started working in the pastry kitchen at the famous Arizona Biltmore Hotel. She continued to learn more about her craft by taking classes at the World Pastry Championships. She also studied with expert pastry chefs like Ewald Notter and Colette Peters.
A Special Invitation
In 2003, Farah had a very important opportunity. She was invited to the G8 summit, a meeting of world leaders, at Sea Island, Georgia. There, she worked with celebrity chef James Mullaney. She created special desserts for important guests, including the First Lady of the United States, Laura Bush.
Opening Her Own Restaurant
In 2003, Farah opened her own restaurant called Camus in Phoenix, Arizona, with her former husband, Carson Quinn.
Cooking for the Skies
In 2013, Farah worked with Air Asia to create a special dish for their passengers. The meal was available on all of the airline's flights in Indonesia. She created dishes that showed off her cooking style and the amazing flavors of Indonesian food. One of the dishes was Nasi minyak Palembang, a rice dish often served at celebrations in Southern Sumatra, where Farah grew up.
Television Stardom
In late 2008, Farah returned to Indonesia and became a TV star. Her first cooking show was called Ala Chef. It was shown on Trans TV in Indonesia and on the Asian Food Channel in other countries. On the show, she traveled around Indonesia to explore the country's traditional food. She showed viewers how to cook delicious meals using simple, fresh ingredients.
Farah also appeared on an international show on the Asian Food Channel. The show gave young people from six different Asian countries the chance to learn cooking skills to help change their lives. It was broadcast in many countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and South Korea.
