History of Farmington
Farmington was first planned out in 1836. It got its name because the land around it was very good for farming. People also liked the natural, country feel of the area.
Schools in Farmington
Farmington used to have its own high school, called Farmington High School. But in 1986, all the high schools in Graves County joined together to form one big school called Graves County High School.
Today, Farmington is home to Farmington Elementary School. This school is located right in the middle of the community. Farmington Elementary School is known for being one of the best schools in Kentucky. It even won a special award called the National Blue Ribbon award in 2007!
