Fayette is a small city in Fayette County, Iowa, United States. In 2020, about 1,256 people lived there. The city was named after the Marquis de la Fayette, a French hero who helped in the American Revolutionary War.
Fayette is home to Upper Iowa University, which is a private college. You can also find the Volga River State Recreation Area just north of Fayette. Many other parks and natural spots are close by.
