Fennimore is a city located in Grant County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 2,764 people lived here. The city area used to be part of the Town of Fennimore. That town still exists as a separate rural area nearby.

History of Fennimore

Fennimore got its name from a settler who disappeared. This happened during the Black Hawk War. The city was also known as Fennimore Center for a while.

Fennimore became a village in 1889. Later, in 1919, it officially changed its status to a city.

Fennimore covers a total area of about 1.62 square miles (4.47 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the city limits.
