Fernanda Cama Pereira Lima was born on June 25, 1977. She is a famous Brazilian television presenter and model. Even though she had a short time acting in movies and TV shows, she became very well-known. She hosted many popular shows on channels like MTV Brasil, Rede TV!, and TV Globo. In 2014, FIFA chose her to be a special host for the World Cup and the Ballon d'Or awards.

About Fernanda Lima
Fernanda Lima was born in Porto Alegre, a city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Her family has roots from Portugal and Catalonia in Spain.
She is one of three children. She has two brothers named Rodrigo and Rafael. Her parents were both professors who taught physical education. When she was a child, Fernanda was very interested in journalism and the arts. She loved to create dance routines for family parties. She also used to go out with her cousins to interview people about elections. Then, they would edit the videos at home.
Her Career
Starting as a Model
Fernanda began her modeling career when she was just 14 years old. A photographer discovered her. As a teenager in 1990, she lived for five months in Japan, Milan, and Zurich. When she came back to Brazil, she moved to São Paulo.
As a model, she appeared on many magazine covers. She was also featured in fashion stories in magazines like L'Officiel, I-D, Nova, Marie Claire, Elle, GQ, and Trip. She also worked on advertising campaigns for the Benetton Group in Italy.
Working in Television
In 1999, Fernanda started her TV career on MTV Brazil. Her first show was Mochilão MTV. While working on this show, she visited Hawaii. This trip made her decide to study Communications. She went back to São Paulo and earned a degree in journalism.
Later that same year, she started working for RedeTV!. She hosted two shows there. One was Interligado, which was for young people. It showed music videos and talked about topics interesting to teens. The other show was TV Escolha, a movie show on Sundays. Viewers could choose which movies would be shown.
After nine months at RedeTV!, she was asked to return to MTV Brazil. In August 2000, she hosted Mochilão MTV again. She also hosted Luau MTV and Fica Comigo.
In February 2005, Rede Globo hired her. She filled in for another presenter, Angélica, on the show Vídeo Show. Angélica was on maternity leave. Soon after, Fernanda was asked to act in a TV show called Bang Bang. It was a Western-style story set in Brazil. She played the main character, Diana Bullock.
Fernanda had no acting training or experience. She took martial arts lessons and worked with a speech therapist. Some critics said she was not ready for the main role. They thought she caused the show's low ratings. Despite this, she was invited to act in another show, Pé na Jaca. She played the role of Maria Bo and got better reviews from viewers. After this, she got other roles in shows like Fantástico, Daqui para Frente, and Por Toda Minha Vida.
In July 2010, FIFA asked Fernanda to host an event with her husband, Rodrigo Hilbert. They launched the emblem for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil from South Africa. In July 2011, she hosted the draw for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. In December 2013, she and her husband hosted the World Cup draw again. More than 500 million people in 200 countries watched her during this event. Because of this, foreign media called her the "goddess" or "muse" of the World Cup.
At the end of 2013, BBC Brasil included her in a list of 10 Brazilians who were in the international news that year. In January 2014, she was the official host for the FIFA Ballon d'Or awards. She hosted it with Dutch football player Ruud Gullit. Because she became so famous, she was invited to present an award at the 19th National Television Awards. She presented it alongside the England manager, Roy Hodgson.
Her Personal Life
Fernanda Lima is in a relationship with actor and model Rodrigo Hilbert. They met at a luau, which is a party, in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. They have twin sons and a daughter.
She is a big fan of Grêmio Football Porto Alegrense, a football team. She is also a business partner in a restaurant in São Paulo. Fernanda is a vegetarian and practices yoga.
