Fernanda Cama Pereira Lima (born on June 25, 1977) is a famous Brazilian television presenter and model. She has hosted many popular shows on channels like MTV Brasil, Rede TV!, and TV Globo. In 2014, she was chosen by FIFA to be a special host for the World Cup and the Ballon d'Or awards.

Fernanda Lima was born in Porto Alegre, a city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Her family has roots from Portugal and Catalonia.

She is one of three children. Her parents were both teachers of physical education. When she was a kid, Fernanda was very interested in journalism and the arts. She loved creating dance routines for family parties. She even pretended to be a reporter with her cousins, using cameras to interview people about elections. Then, they would edit their videos at home.

Her Career Journey

Starting as a Model

Fernanda began her modeling career when she was just 14 years old. A photographer discovered her talent. As a teenager in the 1990s, she lived and worked as a model in different countries like Japan, Milan, and Zurich for five months. When she came back to Brazil, she moved to São Paulo. She appeared on many magazine covers and in fashion stories for well-known publications. She also worked on advertising campaigns for big brands.

Moving to Television

In 1999, Fernanda started her television career on MTV Brazil. Her first show was called Mochilão MTV. While working on this show, she visited Hawaii. This trip inspired her to study Communications. She went back to São Paulo and earned a degree in journalism.

Later that same year, she joined RedeTV!. She hosted two shows there: Interligado, which was for young people and featured music videos, and TV Escolha, a movie show where viewers picked the films.

In August 2000, she returned to MTV Brazil. She hosted Mochilão MTV again, along with Luau MTV and Fica Comigo. In 2005, she joined Rede Globo. She filled in for another presenter, Angélica, on the show Vídeo Show.

Fernanda also tried acting in a TV show called Bang Bang. It was set in an old West style. Even though she had no acting experience, she took lessons and worked hard. After this, she got other roles in shows like Pé na Jaca, Fantástico, and Por Toda Minha Vida. From 2009 to 2018, she hosted Amor e Sexo, a talk show for young people that discussed relationships and other topics.

In July 2010, FIFA asked Fernanda to host an event in South Africa. She presented the launch of the 2014 World Cup emblem with her husband, Rodrigo Hilbert. In July 2011, she hosted the draw for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. In December 2013, she and her husband hosted the World Cup draw again. More than 500 million people in 200 countries watched this event live. Because of this, foreign media called her the "muse" of the World Cup.

At the end of 2013, the BBC Brasil included Fernanda in a list of 10 Brazilians who were noticed internationally that year. In January 2014, she was the official host for the FIFA Ballon d'Or awards with Dutch football player Ruud Gullit. Due to her popularity, she was also invited to present an award at the 19th National Television Awards.

Personal Life

Fernanda Lima is married to actor and model Rodrigo Hilbert. They met at a beach party in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. They have twin sons and a daughter. Fernanda is a fan of the football team Grêmio Football Porto Alegrense. She is also a business partner in a restaurant in São Paulo. She is a vegetarian and practices yoga.
