History of Fernie Alpine Resort

Fernie Alpine Resort was once known by a different name. It was originally called "Fernie Snow Valley". In 1997, it was sold to RCR, which stands for Resort of the Canadian Rockies.

RCR faced some financial challenges for a while. However, they received help from a wealthy Canadian businessman named N. Murray Edwards. This allowed the resort to continue operating and growing.
