Finleyville is a small town, also called a borough, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. It was named after a person called John Finley. In 2020, about 375 people lived there.
This town was built where two important roads met. These were the old Brownsville Road, which is now Pennsylvania Route 88, and the 'Washington Road'. This road went from Cox's Fort to Catfish Camp, which is now Washington, Pennsylvania. Finleyville was first known as "Rowgalley." Later, many people from Scotland and Ireland, including several families named "Finley," moved to the area. The town is located in the Peters Creek watershed.
