Fito Blanko (born Roberto E. Testa) is a Panamanian-Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer. He is known for his tropical urban music, which mixes sounds from Latin America and North America.

Life and Music Career
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Fito Blanko was born in Panama and moved to Canada when he was young. At age 14, he started writing song lyrics in both English and Spanish. He blended the dancehall music he knew from Panama with North American styles to create his own unique sound.
In the early 2000s, Fito began his career as a teenager in the Latin music world. He even worked on a song with the famous Canadian rapper Drake in 2009.
Becoming a Star
In 2011, Fito's song "VIP" became a hit in the United States. It appeared on three different Billboard music charts, which track the most popular songs. This helped him become well-known for his fun and energetic performances.
His 2012 song, "Pegaito Suavecito," was a huge success. He later re-released it with the famous singer Elvis Crespo. This new version reached number one on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
In 2013, Fito performed "Pegaito Suavecito" with Elvis Crespo at the Premios Lo Nuestro awards show. That year was amazing for him, as he had four songs in the top 40 Billboard charts at the same time. This made him the first Canadian-Latino artist to achieve this.
Major Achievements
Fito Blanko's success continued. He was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2013 for "Best Urban Performance." He also won a BMI Award for his music being played so much on the radio.
In 2015, his song "Meneo" was featured in the popular movie Furious 7. The movie's soundtrack album went to number one on the Billboard 200 chart. That same year, Fito was chosen as a cultural ambassador for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. He wrote a theme song for the games called "Come Alive."
