Flavio Oscar Cianciarulo (born July 26, 1964), also known as Sr. Flavio, is a famous musician from Argentina. He plays the electric and upright bass. He is best known as a member of the popular band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. He also plays in the Latin American supergroup De La Tierra.
Sr. Flavio has been the bass player for Los Fabulosos Cadillacs since the very beginning. The band was first called Cadillac 57. He also sang many songs and helped write most of the band's music. He worked closely with the singer, Vicentico, to create their hits.
Flavio's Solo Music Journey
After Los Fabulosos Cadillacs took a break, Sr. Flavio started his own music career. He first played with a group called Flavio Calaveralma Trío. Later, he formed another band called La Mandinga.
He also worked with other musicians on different projects. For example, he made an album that mixed folk music with heavy metal alongside Ricardo Iorio. He also formed a band called Misterio with his son, Astor, who plays drums. Nico Valle joined them on upright bass.
In 2012, Sr. Flavio joined a new band called De La Tierra. This group plays groove metal and includes musicians from other famous bands like Sepultura and Maná. In 2017, Sr. Flavio started a death metal band called Sotana with his sons, Astor and Jay. They released their first album in 2018.
