Florac Trois Rivières is a French commune, a subprefecture of the Lozère department, in the Occitanie region. It is also the capital of the arrondissement of Florac.
The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 when the former communes of Florac and La Salle-Prunet were combined to form the new commune.
Geography
Florac Trois Rivières is in the valley of the Tarnon river, a small river that flows through the Lozère department before joining the Tarn river. The commune is found at the start of the Gorges du Tarn (a canyon formed by the Tarn river).
The city and the Tarnon valley are within the Cévennes National Park but they are not part of the park.
The commune of Florac Trois Rivières has an area of 48.39 km2 (18.68 sq mi) and its average altitude is 542 m (1,778 ft); at the city hall, the altitude is 560 m (1,840 ft).
