Florence is a small city in Lyon County, Minnesota, United States. It is located in the southwestern part of the state. In 2020, only 28 people lived there.
History of Florence
Florence was officially planned out in 1888. It was named after Florence Sherman. She was the daughter of one of the very first people to settle there. A post office opened in Florence in 1889. The city officially became a town in 1920.
