Derek Watkins (born February 13, 1974), known as Fonzworth Bentley, is an American artist. He is a rapper, actor, TV host, and author. Many people know him as the former assistant to Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy. You might have seen him in the TV show Making the Band 2. He also hosted MTV's show From G's to Gents. Fonzworth Bentley was born in Atlanta, Georgia.

What Has Fonzworth Bentley Done?
Fonzworth Bentley started his music career in 2002. He first appeared on Da Band's album Too Hot for TV. He was featured on a track called "Cheers to Me, Mr. Bentley (Interlude)".
His Music and Collaborations
In 2003, Bentley was part of a skit on OutKast's album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. A year later, in 2004, he made a quick appearance in the music video for Kanye West's song "The New Workout Plan".
Bentley also helped write several songs on Kanye West's album Yeezus. These songs include “On Sight,” “Black Skinhead,” “I Am a God,” and “Hold My Liquor.” He also worked as a producer on West's song “Ultralight Beam.”
His first album, C.O.L.O.U.R.S., was released online in April 2011.

Fonzworth Bentley also played the violin in the "Yes We Can" music video. This video supported Barack Obama's campaign for president in 2008.
In 2010, he sang as part of the chorus for "We Are The World". This was a new version of the famous song "We Are the World", made to help Haiti after a big earthquake.

From 2008 to 2009, he hosted the MTV reality series From G's to Gents. This show helped young men learn about manners and style. It ran for two seasons.
Writing Books
In 2007, Bentley wrote a book about good manners. It was called Advance Your Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence and Style to Get Ahead. This book teaches people how to use good manners and confidence to succeed.
Other Appearances
In May 2009, Bentley hosted one of the parties after the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C.. This is a big event where journalists and politicians meet.
